Hey all,

just joined :)

these are currently my system specs, now please dont laugh lol its old but suprisingly it can handle HL2,Far cry,Doom 3,Prey on high which shocked me as i didnt even think it would do low settings.

heres my specs:
Quote:
AMD Sempron 2800+ @ 2Ghz
A7v8x-la Motherboard
1.25Gb DDR Pc3200 (1Gb+256mb sticks)non dual channel
120Gb Seagate barracude 7200Rpm
Club Radeon 9600 Pro
19" Belinea LCD monitor 5Ms responce
My friend is selling his Radeon X850 Pro AGP for £50 and i was thinking of buying it to replace my 9600 pro,but i must admit the 9600 pro is a darn good card for its age.

my only concearn us if my Power supply will handle an X850 pro?

Its a 400W power supply which has no name lol so yeah its cheap but on the label on the side it says on the +12 it gives out 16Amps.
this is what i need to know right?
is 16A sufficient for a x850 pro?

tks guys i appreciate your feedback.

I'd like to see a minimum of 20a on the 12v line for a x850pro.

Having more amps that required is fine. But having less than required can result in the card simply not working.
