hello all, taking my buddies advice and seeking the help of some more knowledgable people then him and myself. alright so heres the deal, i recently upgraded my graphics card and ram into my computer. i have a emachines T6003, it came with 512 mb of ram and a shared graphics card. now, all we did was basically take out the 2 old ram chips and put in the 2 new ones, and also put in e-GeForce 8600 GT 256 mb DDR 3 PCI-E vid card. now when im playing my game, world of warcraft or starcraft, my computer seems to restart for no reason, and jus blue screens very quickly and then goes to boot screen and starts up as usual. then when im back into main desktop it says im system ha recovered from a serious problem etc etc.. now my brain tells me im perhaps over heating but i cleaned all my fans and verified they are running, so i ruled that out. only thing else i can think of is my old graphics card needs to be disabled some how. i sorta assumed that the new one did that for me, but i dunno. sorry for the wall of text but i want to convey my message and not leave anything out even though im sure i have. any and all help wil lbe greatly appreciated and let me say THANK YOU gurus in advance!!!

No, you do not need to disable the old on-board GFX.

Try putting the old hardware back, bit-by-bit.

When it starts working, you have found the culprit.

Got a feeling this is going to be RAM replace your new RAM with the old leave your new GFX card in,and give it a whirl. If it performs OK. remove the old RAM and replace with 1 of the new ones( I'm presuming you've got either 512 or 1 gg modules) if that works switch it with the other new one. I''m guessing one of them will screw up.If not take out the new card and try it on the onboard, you should find the culprit this way.

Drop the card out and just use the RAM till you get a PSU that will support your new card. Don't skimp on the PSU get a decent one.
