Default Same graphics card, different price?

I was looking on PC World for a new graphics card, when I came across these two:

They look the same to me, what's the best of the two and is it the highest priced one? (In-store price wise)

Thanks in advance, the PC World site was always confusing.

Hi Flashpoint (geddit ;)).

Anyway, yup, same model but i'm guessing that the BFG will be overclocked on the gpu and ram over and above the reference spec set out by Nvidia. PNY's tend to be 'vanilla' spec'd cards, or clocked at the reference speeds for the gpu and ram.

Other than that it could simply be that it's two separate brands with different pricing points.

Please tell me you don't actually intend buying from PCW?

Try www.ebuyer.com, you'll probably find it cheaper and there is also much more choice.

Fair play, savings on that are only £5-£10 anyway.

Heh, thanks anyway.

I should buy the first one then? It's overclocked and the in-store price is more.

And in the world of teenagers, the more expensive it is, the better it is!

I'll be ordering it online, so when I pick it up it will be much cheaper.

Bet you do wish I was your son now

Not really, I have none currently and have no intention of getting any in the future. :)

Wise move buying online, it's not a case of being able to tell your mates it cost x amount, it's more the point of not lining Mr PC Worlds overpriced pockets.

Good luck with your new card.

Dave.
