I've had my eye on this monitor some time now (Samsung pebble 22") but i wanna try and save some dosh for other things. The SS is £214 and the budget equivilent is about £150 which one?

You get what you pay for in most cases and Samsung is normally pretty good kit.

They both have pretty much the same features but the budget monitor hasnt got DVI. Never used used DVI before does it actually have a clear advantage? I've always used VGA and that seems pretty clear, im soo old skool lol

DVI is better quality but you can only use it if your graphics card has DVI output.

Same features or same spec, things like contrast ratio, resolution, response time are what make up the picture quality and tend to differ and be lacking on the cheap kit.

Yep its pretty much neck and neck i really like the SS but my mind says save money lol

Just looked up the Samsung, 3000:1 contrast and 2ms response time.

I doubt any budget monitor will keep up with that.

3ms wont make a difference will it? I dont know about contrast ratios so i wont even get into that lol

Well yeah it will or there wouldn't be much point making a 2ms monitor.

That and the fact the Samsung has 3x the contrast ratio make it a clear winner mate.
