Hi,

I am looking round to buy a PC monitor and I was going to buy the Samsung 226BW but when I did some reasearch beforehand found out that it is not quite easy to buy the best one since there are 3 panels on the market and only the 'S' panel is the best one and is the one I need.

Now, Samsung have launched the pebel series and there is this (SM2232BW) 22"wide monitor that I would like to buy but have not found any reviews on it.

Does someone knows something about it cos I am confused now.

Well... if you're in the UK then PC World seem to have the S panels, as I bought the screen from there and it is an S panel. If in doubt, look at the back of any demonstation ones they might have and look for an S on the back rather than an A or whatever the other one is. I have read that the only difference between the S and A panels is that the A panels have slightly more backlight bleed but you do want the S panel. Anyway just look at the back of the demo screen wherever you decdide to get it from and if it doesn't say S dont buy it. 226bws look way nicer than Pebbles imo.

Never. Where the hell from? Hmm well anyway we have a 24" on the mac and the 226bw downstairs and the 24" would be way to big for down there anyway. Hehe I still want the 245bw though..

To tell you the truth, since we are going to buy this PC next Feb now :( we are considering in buying a 24". I mean the difference is minimal and in the near future, 24" wide you be the new 22" wide. So it is better to be ready for the change :P
