Hi guys, first post in the section, hope you are all well.
Got the above monitor and I cant adjust contrast via the monitors built in control panel, samsung (capital left out as they dont deserve it) says via pointless e-mail response that it must be a pc setting not a monitor issue, basically they havent got a clue. Im certain its not a monitor fault just a feeling i have. Monitor came with Magictune and Natural Colour Pro software to help calibrate it, but after both working fine on install now I cant calibrate contrast, especially on the section where you have to decrease contrast until you can see the smaller circles (that might only make sense to samsung monitor owners - sorry) Any ideas? All 'constructive' input appreciated. Be safe. |

Do you have a Graphics Card in your computer or is it intergrated.
If so try using ATi Catalyst or Nvidia Control Panal to change the settings. If you think it is a hardware fault send it back to Samsung. |

Sorry, yes running NVidia GeForce 8600 Gt (PCI-X16)
I can adjust everything as normal thru nvidia control panel but the way to calibrate monitor correctly and possibly best, is with samsungs built in tools, when i say built in i mean they are actually built into the monitor not installed on pc, they worked the first time, monitors superb by the way i can recommend it incase anyones thinking of buying one, just cant figure out whats going on with these controls, im convinced it NOT a fault, probably something ive done, thnx for the response, great forums hese lot of helpful people, take care, ill post on solutions i find if i find any |
