Default Sapphire X1550 512MB fault

Hi guys

On monday i bought above mentioned FX card.
2 days back it started giving this error
http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...16b2a36a15.jpg

I run the following system
http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...e8719f7fe3.jpg

On this motherboard
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 nVidia nForce4

Ive set my hardware acceleration down 1 move on the slider and then theres no fault, but whats the use in using this if i cant use it to its fullest.

FYI ive installed nothing new just the FX cards drivers.

Any Ideas
Cheers

VPU Recover only happens when the Graphics card crashes due to a program that is eating up the VPU power until it cannot do anything. Then the VPU recover kicks in.

So it must be a program that is causing it

What power supply do you have?

It could be caused by the graphics card not having enough power to run correctly.

If it was like this than I think that you wouldn't see anything on your screen.

BTW what powersupply do you have

I actually meant what power supply has the original poster got!

It's entirely possible that the graphics card may be damanding more power than his psu can supply.

I only have an eye-t 450watt psu but then my system isnt that powerful.

Not enough power could certainly cause a gpu recovery, and so could too much heat.
