Default Screen Flickering

I have an Acer 22" F-22 connected to an EVGA GTX 260 core 216. The screen just started flickering now. I changed the refresh rate to the highest possible - 60 hertz - but that did not help at all. What should I do?...

Refresh rate won't make a difference.

This happens in Windows as well as in games?

Are you hooked up to the monitor via DVI?

If both of those, you likely have a bad backlight in the monitor.

It's much less noticeable in games.

I'm hooked up via HDMI.

Several people are commenting about flicker issues on this monitor. It may be an issue with broken dynamic contrast. I would return it for a different model if possible.
