I have a 22" x2gen monitor

My WindowsXP and Windows7 wont rekognize it.
They say the highest Res. is 1600x1200 which it isnt

I tried installing my nVidia drivers, they woudlnt work on Windows7 but it worked on WindowsXP and it still didn't work

Any help???

Also; i have a 7600GT EVGA

i wouldnt worry about it. the computer doesnt recognize the monitor, just set the resolution at the native of the monitor, which is 1680 x 1050 according to the specs.

thats the problem. It doesn't show up.. it has every res possible except that one

I think it doesn't know the ratio of my monitor

so on XP do you have the latest video drivers? sure they are for xp?

Yea, i am 100% sure

This isn't the first time it has happened. It happened before but I fixed it

IT also happened in my Ubuntu

Uninstall and re-install, might fix the problem. If not, you might have to turn off the option for hiding video modes the monitor cannot display.

I did both
and when i turn off the option for hiding video modes i put in custom one which was 1680 by 1050, it said it failed so i put 1600 by 1050 and thats the highest it would work on

Sounds like it's the monitor's problem. Do you have another video card to try this?

Are you sure that the video card can display that resolution. Everyone seems to thing something is wrong with the monitor and forgetting that not all video cards can display all resolutions regardless of the monitor connected.

No, the video card is completly capable of handling the resolution

This isn't the first time this has happened

I used to be able to do the 1680x1050 and the second monitor...

but than when i built my new rig, it did this
