Default Screen resolution & refresh rate conundrum !!

Hi fellas, a couple of quick questions if you will. I have a Hanns.G HU196D display & I'd like to know the refresh rate, if possible. I also have an ATI 9600XT graphics card & am wondering whether or not I can run it at 1280 x 1024. My PC ...

Hi fellas,
a couple of quick questions if you will.
I have a Hanns.G HU196D display & I'd like to know the refresh rate, if possible.
I also have an ATI 9600XT graphics card & am wondering whether or not I can run it at 1280 x 1024.

Default Screen resolution & refresh rate conundrum !!

Thanks for the quick response Dave.
Can't find a reference to refresh rates, however.
In my Monitor Settings section in Display Properties I have three choices of refresh rate as follows ;
60, 70 or 75 Hertz.
Which would be the best for my set-up, bearing in mind that both of my eyes are now over 50 years old !!!!

LCDs have no such thing as refresh rate. It doesn't matter what you set it to.
