Heh

I am new to the site and this is my first post. I have an old pc which I have given to my mum however the graphics card has failed I think.
It is an Intel Celeron 900Mhz Processor with Gigabyte GA-7vtxe M/Board. I have an Nvidia Riva TNT 2 M64 32Mb AGP Card in it at present, what I want to know is should I just try and replace it like for like or can anyone recommend a better one. As you may guess it is not required for gaming etc so just an alright card for a decent price should do the trick.

Cheers

Just pick up anything really, I imagine you can get a much better one for cheap but you may not want to mess with reinstalling drivers, etc.

Hi I assume I need to ensure it is capable of running with my m/board though eh?
When I had the pc I bought an Nvidia G-Force 4 MX440 AGP 4x which was not compatible with that board (I am using this in my new machine).
Is there somewhere that I can check what cards are compatible with my m/board?

Thanks

Well, that's odd, because technically it should. A lot of people have FX5500s in those motherboards too. Regardless, old AGP cards are going to be so cheap that if you find one that you think might work I'd just try it.
