Hi, I've got a laptop that has a backlight problem and I think it has something to do with the inverter. I pulled the inverter board out of the screen housing and turned the laptop on (with the wires still attached) and the backlight works but when I put the board back in the screen housing it will sometimes not work and sometimes work but any movement will turn the back light off again. I got a new inverter from ebay but the laptop refuses to power on with it in. Does anyone know what is going on here? It's a HP Compaq nx6110 by the way.

Oh yeah also the laptop sometimes refuses to post when the inverter is acting up and sometimes it takes longer to post than usual.
