| Ok so i have recently recieved a new computer for the household (specs below). Now here's the problem. I've installed the driver software and the card has been recognised but: when i try and run anything that requires a bit of GFX memory the computer goes into "windows is shutting down to prevent damage to your system" When i try and get my windows aero benchmark score it begins the test then goes into "windows is shutting down to prevent damage to your system." I have'nt changed any BIOS settings, i've had a look at them and can't see anything abnormal, but i can't say i'm an expert on BIOS. System Specs ASRock CONROE 1333-1394 Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ Stock 250GB SATA II HDD Geforce 8600GT Onboard Audio 19" TFT Monitor Last edited by Macmac508 : 31st Dec 2007 at 05:05 AM. |

| Make sure the card is seated correctly. Try updating the drivers from the manufacturers website. Check that you psu is capable of providing enough power for the card. Regards Howard. |
