| Sure, but I don't think there is anything better for the price than what Carbon has suggested.

| First bundle: Good processor, below par motherboard, good RAM. Second bundle: Processor you don't need because Quads aren't any better than Dual cores at gaming, good motherboard, terrible RAM. It's probably cheaper to pick the parts out yourself. Get good, branded products and you can't go far wrong. |

| Ok say we go with the first bundle, which mobo would you suggest. I presume my PSU Corsair 550w will be adequate with this and the radeon 4770? |

| PSU will be fine, 4770 aren't power hungry at all. Just noticed that the processor says Phenom, not Phenom 2.. Phenom = Crap, Phenom 2 = win. Mocked up some components on Scan.co.uk and got an Athlon 2 240, Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-UD2H and 2Gb of Corsair XMS2 for about £160 including delivery. Couldn't find the exact motherboard Carbon likes but found a very similar one. That system should get you through 99% of games at high detail without any trouble. Add your 4770 in and you've got a really good value system. EDIT: Xactly's post seems to have much better hardware if you can stretch the extra £20 or so |

| AMD Athlon II X3 425 GigabyteGA-MA770T-UD3P SuperTalent DDR3 PC3-10666 2GB These components come to £180 and will work well with the 4770 and your Power Supply. I found a Sapphire HD4850 over at ARIA. It goes for the same price as the 4770.It wins over the 4770 by a margain in some games and a few frames in others. The only problem is the heat. |

| Ok got AMD Athlon II X3 425 Triple Core Rana S AM3 2.7GHz 1.5MB Cache HT 2000MHz 95W Retail. £59 Giga byte ma770 £71 2 gig Corsair ram £30 Total £160 All in stock . Once the Mobo is changed do I need to pay for windows again? I do not have a disc only the recovery disc. And should I let them do the ugrade for me at a cost of £30. I dont have much experience beyond fitting extra ram, a PSU change and GPu change. |

| What you need to do is find out your Windows product key. Use Magic Jellybeans Keysniffer and write down your product key. With that, you can get a disk from anywhere and reinstall Windows using your product key. Recovery disks install a load of bloatware from the manufacturer too, terrible things. |

| I wouldn't have got that selection - there's not really a reason to go with 2GB of RAM anymore, and the X2 240 is a better buy than that particular X3, but it'll work.

| What amount of RAM would you say is good? 16gb is the limit on the motherboard, some random amount by MicroSoft and 16Eb by theoretical limit lol |
