Hi.
I'm getting a new computer for my room, so I do not have to use the family computer downstairs and it's going to be more powerful in every area except the graphics card. And I was wondering, will it definitely be compatible?
The graphics card in the downstairs computer is a 8600GT and the one in the new computer will be a 8400m, or something like that. The CPU in the downstairs computer is a 1.6GHz Pentium dual core and the CPU in the new computer will be a 2.4GHz Quad core, and the motherboard in the downstairs PC isn't compatible with quad cores... Am I right in thinking that the motherboards in each computer will support each graphics card if I was to switch them?

Thanks in advance.
