Comeback of the year is on a distinguished road
Default Un-able to restore graphics. Help.

Hi. I have a an intel pentium 4, 3.2Ghz computer, 1 gig ram and an ATI radeon 9550 graphics card (sorry, i dont know much, im not that great with computers)

When i first bought this computer everything seemed to work great on it, all the games i bought runned fine including Battlefield 2, Half-Life 2, CS:Source, Battlefield 1942 and the list goes on.

After having this computer for about a year or so, i came across the "blue screen of death". I had to completely wipe my HDD and re-install windows. Even though i downloaded all the drivers for my graphics card nothing seems to work as good as it used to. After about 15 minutes of playing it begins to flicker and every now and then i get an error message telling me the buffer is full (i have no idea what this means). It also cannot seem to handle the resolutions that i used to use for the games.

Ive tried everything including the Catalyst control center but nothing has worked. Can anyone help me??

Well if you are "absolutely" certain its not the drivers I would also start suspecting directx see if there is an update for that. Also there can always be a misconfiguration of catalyst that can cause your trouble. Check to make sure that everything of catalyst is configured correctly and also that in the device manager that the device recognized is in fact the correct device.
