Is there any risks I should be aware of in updating my ATI Catalyst Driver? I'm not having any issues but the FileHippo update checker tells me it's out of date.

Installed Version: 5.8
Update to: ATI Catalyst Drivers 9.4 XP

What GPU do you have?
5.8 is probably from around 2005 or so :)

Edit: you should be able to install the drivers without a hitch, right over the top of ther others

It might improve its performance a little, 9.4s are the last drivers that will be made for that card anyway so you might as well get it
AMD has now stopped supporting all cards that predate the 2000series, starting from 9.4

With newer cards you can just install over the top but im not to sure about older ones.
So it would probably be best if you uninstalled them manually and used Driver Sweeper to get rid of the leftovers

Thanks.

I think the last time I updated one of those drivers was on my old Win98. Booted back to a REALLY messed up monitor. I might just leave it alone...
