Upgrading from ATI X1300 gpu

hi, new to this forum.
i am looking to upgrade from ati x1300 128mb. which card would you recommend for a budget of around £100?. my system is as follows;
advent desktop
intel dual core 4300
1g memory
windows vista
pci-e slot
350w psu
also, will i need to upgrade psu?

For £100 you could get this

But you would need to upgrade your psu.

But an upgraded, and decent, psu needn't cost the earth. Here.

It does tend to run rather loud though, especially at peak. But it is efficient, and stable.

thanks for the detailed reply. didnt realise i could get such a high spec card for that sort of money! what graphics cards would run with my 350w psu?

It's dependent on what you have in the rest of your build really.

But you could get away with, I guess, a 8600GT, potentially a GTS.

, if you want something a little cheaper, try the radeon x1900 pro, very powerful lcard, there around 70 quid , but would need psu upgrade i would imagine
