Well I have a Viewsonic VX922 monitor as my main monitor, but it has started not working properly. Whenever I turn it on, all I get is a flashing green LED, however I can't see anything in the manual about what this means. I know the cable and gfx card output work properly, as if I plug the cable vga cable into my secondary monitor, it works.

So, what I want to know is, if anyone knows what is causing this problem, and how to fix it if possible.

Thanks all

Lots of folks are having similar problems with this monitor see here

If it's still under warranty, you will need to RMA it I reckon.

Yea, I just saw that today, I bought it second hand of ebay, so isn't covered by warranty I don't think, but I was going to give them a ring on monday and see if they'll swap it, otherwise, I'll have to do it myself.

Well I've had 2 monitors from them, a 17" and the 19" mentioned above, the 17" I have had for a couple of years longer then the 19" and has been used as a secondary monitor ever since, and it's still going fine (that's the monitor I'm using at the moment) So I don't really know what to think about them, but they don't have any monitors in the price/size/resolution range that I want anyway, so they aren't an option for my next choice anyway.

Cheers for the help though

Are u running Windows7 by any chance? Because i'm having similiar problem with it. The system doesn't boot properly, looks like it send wrong frequency to the monitor and it shuts itself down to prevent damage.
I have second screen (toshiba tv) connected using hdmi cable and i have to fix the resolution and frequency for the vx922 there first and then it starts working...

No, I'm not I'm using XP, although I opened up the unit yesterday, found the capacitors that were the problem, ordered them and they arrived today, so I replaced them, and it works fine again now :D
