Default Wireless mouse and keyboard, but wireless monitor??

Hi.

I want to be able to set up my laptop when at home to work as a desktop. I know you can get wireless keyboards and mice, but can you get a wireless transmitter for an tft monitor?

I don't want to have to run a really long cable across my room as this would end up going across the carpet, to go around the room would mean the cable would be stupidly long.
