I have just recently purchased an AMD x2 6000+ processor a asus 580x crossfire motherboard and a saphire x1950 xtx toxic cooled videocard. i have a 600 watt powersupply and i was wondering if it could handle a crossfire setup with another x1950 xtx card?
Thanks |

Post the psu model and make please, I'll be able to check if its certified for Crossfire.
This isn't the be all and end all of it working, but its a good indicator. What are the rest of the system's components? Although I'd suggest you'll be running a bit of a risk at 600w. ATI Cards, especially their top end DX9 card (which you have) love electricity like it's going out of fashion. A watercooled XTX will use even more juice.

i have ordered a AMD x2 6000+ processor, 2GB munshkin ram,Asus 580x crossfire motherboard.
my psu is a rosewill 600watt heres the newegg page for it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182032 also i just read this review on newegg this guy is running all this with this powersupply id surely think it could run my system lol Pros: A good power supply is critical and this one performs awesome! Excellent power on the critical 3.3V (30amps) and 5V outputs. Fan is all but silent and things work great. Enjoy! Cons: None Other Thoughts: FYI-I'm running this with a ASUS P5N32 SLI Premium mobo, BFG 8800gts, 2 160GB striped raptors, 2 500GB seagates, and 4GB of Corsair Dom. RAM. |

Correct me if im wrong but the 12V rails are far more important than the 3.3V For instants me brother has an 720w Enermax that only has 25A on the 3.3V rails and has 30A on the 12V rails and that PSU is/was top of the line He is running an E6300/8800GTX/Evga mobo, 1T of HDD's and about 10fans lol So im not sure what exact amperage you will need to power xfire x1950xtx's but it will be very close to 19A's if not more! I think the 8800 use 22A on the 12V rail X1950xtx in xfire wont be far off of that either My System: Some other lover!
