I have just bought this graphics card to be able to play directx 10 games. I have put the graphics card into my hardware already ,but when i put the disk in it does not do a pop up so i can download the drivers. It just says the video card is not a xfx card. Also when i bought my computer it did not come with a graphics card.It still says that my video card is a intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family.

Have you made sure before replacing the card you Flashed the BIOS ???? If you did not do this it will still be looking for your previous graphics card in your computer. I suggest that you turn off your PC, unplug all power leads, Flip out the on board BIOS battery leave it out for 10 seconds, place it back in and then put your new graphics card in and re connect power leads and then setup the BIOS basic Date, Time.

Ok typo error on the Flashing not resetting! but even if has used on board graphics with out re setting the BIOS battery before putting the new card in it will not work! I build computers for a living and on a regular basis with building new pc's or even just installing new graphics cards this is what I need to do to successfully get the card working.

If you are right then I am shocked!
Not to get into an e-penis battle but out of all the computers I have built/fixed in my life(100's) I have never had to do that, maybe disable the onboard in the bios but never remove the battery, although it would probably be easier to change the cmos jumper over and back

I have tried to disable the onboad bios but all it has said is me changing the primary video card use. I have tried all of the PCI-E ones but nothing has changed says the same thing

Did you try to disable within bios and did you try to download the drivers manually?
What OS are you using?

Hmm true about the jumper personally I have found that just doing the battery ive always done it this way and even when swapping graphics card adding hardware ectt .. I suppose people do things differently and get the same results :)

You never need to flash the BIOS, unless you want to fit a CPU that wasn't out when the board was made, even that is rare.
