hey guy. i recently overclocked my celeron 2.3ghz 128kb L2 to 3.06ghz, its around 48C idle and around 70C - 72C on full load for around few hours. i just wanna know if its safe ?(its max temp is 77C automatic turn off when reached). for some reason my laptops cpu: intel celeron 540 1.86ghz 1mb L2 (not overclocked) performs a lot better than my celeron overclocked to 3.06ghz in 3d marks 03 cpu tests (around 50fps on my laptop and 22fps on my 3.06ghz). is it because the voltage isnt right? its 1.625v should it be higher . also its 65C on full load for a few hours when its overclocked to 2.93ghz instead of 3.06ghz. so which speed should i have it to then ? and why is my laptop cpus performance way better when the clock speed is nowhere near 3.06ghz and its a laptop cpu. hope you can help me

high voltage = higher temp

what program you using to check those temps? 30c change during load seems a little suspicious
