i Currently ow the very old ASUS P5VD1-X with 1xPCI-E and 2xDDR2 512mb 333Mhz i wanted to know weather i would need to replace my motherboard for the 8800 GT card to work or weather it would be alright. Also my current CPU is the Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz the motherboard supports the 65nm proccessors and i have a spare Intel C2D E2140 would this work? thanks

Thats good then thanks, also would my current memory (DDR2 333Mhz) be good enough or would it make my games slower than they should.

Your RAM will be fine, speed makes little difference.

Game speed is mostly dependent on graphics card, then CPU and RAM mass.

It doesn't mention the newer core 2 duo chips so I wouldn't say for sure the chip will work, if you have it already I doubt it will hurt trying it.

Also have a look on ASUS for a BIOS update, that may sort it.
