hi peps,hope you can help me out.i have an acer aspire m3100 phenom quad pro 2.2ghz.when i was going to update my grathics card i had to move my harddrives,in do so i had to remove the heat sink unfortunatly the cpu came of with the heatsink and snapped two pins off makeing it useless,ive been trying to find out more about the motherboard but not had much sucsses as acer makes it own m/boards and dont surply any info on the motherboard all i can see that it has an am2 socket 4 cpu has an amd chipset.as i need a new cpu i would rather put in a better faster one,but i dont know what the board will accept.any help will be greatly received b4 i get the hammer out lol.and buy a new motherboard n cpu.thanks mark

You might be able to get a Phenom II into that motherboard, otherwise just buy a new one. It's old.
