Ok, im running an msi v class mobo with an ati graphics card and currently 512mb of ddr, i just bought another 512 to fit in the second slot and speed things up abit.
However when i plugged the second stick in windows begins to load and then i get bsod, with 'ACPI error, try updating your bios'. so i turned everything off and removed the new ram, booted up fine. So i put the new ram back in but switched the sticks around in the holders. now windows loads, i can log on, then about 30 seconds later it bsods again, this time with ' page file in non paged area'. help please

It could be bad memory then. Try running a diagnostic program on it.

Also try reseating the Ram ... if no go still post back with the actual Stop error numbers, this may help to diagnose it better.

Silly question, but did you verify the Ram is compatible with your mobo ? My System: Home Build
