Allendale, Wolfdale, Conroe, Kentsfield...huh? They're just different "brands" of Core 2 processors.
Allendale are budget, Kentsfields are the quads, Conroe are the 65nm Core 2 Duos you usually see floating around today, and Wolfdale are the 45nm Shrink.
It's a quicker way to refer to each family, than "E8000 series" or "65nm Core 2 Duos".
