| Hi Everyone, I have a AMD Athlon XP 2800+ processor on a Gigabyte GA-7n400 Pro 2 rev 2.0 and I cant get the CPU only runs as a 2200+ why can I not get it to be picked up as a 2800+. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |

| True clock speed and what the makers advertise on their boxes are two different things.

| Sorry i dont mean the clock speed the actual cpu is recognised as a 2200+ instead of a 2800+ and the clock speed is 1.8ghz instead of 2.2ghz ish. What mhz should i running the cpu at? |

| You will need to change your BIOS settings to the correct FSB and multiplyer to get the correct GHz. Set FSB speed to 166MHz and your multiplier should be at 12.5X. |

| The motherboard comes with o'clocking software called easytune4 but on that the mulitplier seems to be locked at 13.5, would it work if i manually changed it using the jumpers on the motherboard? When i try setting the FSB to 166 it crashes but i can run it at 160mhz but then it shows as a 2600+. |
