Carbon's hardware knowledge far exceeds mine, but as far as I can tell, they should both do the same in games.

(i5 750 vs i7 920) They both clock 2.66 stock, Hyper Threading is missing from the i5, but games don't use it anyway as far as I'm aware. Therefore they will perform equally, and the i5 750 cost you less money, making it a bargain in relation to the i7 920. This of course, presumes my assumptions, and intermediate knowledge are correct. My System: FordyPC

No, it outperforms the i7 920 significantly in games due to higher Turbo clocks too.

It doesn't make a bit of difference, that's why it was removed for P55.
