| hmmm looking at the ocuk description it states that the mobo supports DDR3 1800MHz dual-channel memory architecture DDR3 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 / 1066 / 800 MHz Dual channel memory architecture what exactly does this mean ? that i can only have 1600mhz ram but can oc it to 1800? |

| It means the mobo automatically supports ddr3 ram at speeds upto 1600mhz, so you don't have to mess about, just plug the dimms in and the board will register the ram at it's correct speed and latency. Although, as always, it's worth checking the bios to ensure.

| Well, exactly what I say Cewy ![]() Check your ram speed (once inserted) and timings in the bios. But anyway, forget that, just use the AI Suite software that comes with the board. Quick click will tell you.

| I know the feeling, I've just had my dinner as well. Really feel like an afternoon snooze now. Anyway, the AI Suite provided by Asus allows dynamic system overclocking or different performance profiles; max power saving, levels of performance; 1,2,3 etc. It also allows you to put the pc straight into standby and theres some other things as well such as configuring your system ram.
