I am getting the ASUS P5E3 PREMIUM/WIFI-AP @n LGA 775 DDR3 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard with a 1000W Power Supply. I was wondering what 'high end' CPUs will be compatible to this motherboard and what RAM will be compatible [DDR3 is what I've heard].

Also, while i am on the same subject. Could you tell me what graphics card will work on this motherboard also high end. Would water cooling be a good idea? and what models or manufacturers are good in this area?

I'm also not sure on what else i need. If I've missed out some important components please put them also in.

Many thanks guys if you can help me out.

DDR3 1600 will work, grab a E8400 or E8500 and two 8800GTS and be happy.

Are you absolutely sure about this? That motherboard has 3x PCI-E slots and all boards I've ever used with the 790i chipset and/or more than one PCI-E x16 slot worked fine in SLI.

The P5E3 motherboard has an X48 chipset which supports Crossfire with ATI graphics cards.

So if i got this right...

mobo = Premium P5E3
CPU = E8500 [However, wouldn't a quad work better?]
Graphics = 2 X 8800GTS
