Build:
Asus Striker II Extreme Core 2 Quad Q9550 4GB DDR3 1800 GTX 280 The motherboard says it supports DDR3 but at 1800 it says overclocked. I bought my ram already at 1800. Do i need to do something in bios? Does my computer see that it's working at 1800? The ram I bought is not overclocked. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You can set the frequency, voltage etc manually in the BIOS, try doing that.

Memory bandwidth is useless on Core 2 for the most part. Setting proper timings is fine, but you should not run the RAM asynchronously.
