Default Athlon xp 2400, help me!!

hi, i recently decided to install a new CPU on an old motherboard i had, its an Elite Group K7S5A, i did some research and found that the best CPU i could use would be an Athlon xp 2400. I have also looked around for a bios update, and i installed the latest one i could find sucessfully. But when i put the New CPU in im not getting anything showing up on my screen!, its really recking my head!

Does the old chip still work?

If it doesnt then the board is muffed.

If it does than the new chip is dead, wasnt fitted properly or you didnt flash the bios properly.
