Apart from it being two years old and not AM2+?

It sort of depends a bit on whether you need lots of pci slots and things. If you can get by with a MicroATX form then I quite like the ASUS A8N-VM CSM. It's got a dynamic auto-overclock of a sort, it's stable, I like the website and the way Asus get things right so often.

oops - ur were right!

2Socket AM2+ is a CPU socket, which is the immediate successor to Socket AM2 that is currently used in several AMDprocessors such as Athlon 64 X2. Socket AM2+ is a mid-migration from Socket AM2 to Socket AM3 and is fully compatible with Socket AM2, so processors designed for Socket AM2 will work on Socket AM2+ motherboards and vice versa.

I'm quite taken with the Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe. I'm tempted to think I might actually use the triple VGA support and it's advertised at least as an overclocker's wet dream.
