Ok, I am looking for an Asus motherboard. I don't really care what the price is listed as.

My main concern is this:

·Supports PC8500 DDR2 ram
·Works well with BFG 8800GTX
·RAM expandable to at least 8gig
·Supports Intel2Quad Processor
·Works well with 1000W PSU
·Ideal for architecture programs, accountants programs and for editing (video and photo)

Any suggestions?

Yeah, we can't both be wrong.

Just a question Thunderer. Why 8gb ram? You planning on using a server o.s? Even Vista 64-bit can only use 3.5gb.

Thank you for your opinions. Did state that I need ram expandable up to 8GB due to the fact that nowadays motherboards are somewhat standard that so I just said it. Am not intended to use 64Bit windows, eventhough they need 4GB, but in the future I might upgrade the Ram.

I think that am not going for the Striker Extreme since it does not support 1066Mhz of Supported RAM speeds.

So any other suggestions that have DDR2 supported at 1066Mhz?

It does support 1066mhz DDR2 natively, you just have to 'tell' it in the AI suite software that comes with the board, this isn't a form of overclocking the ram.

It also supports SLI-memory natively (without telling it) upto 1200mhz.
