What do people think are the best CPU cooler for socket 775? I want something that cools very well whilst not being rediculously expensive or loud (obviously) I was thinking of getting a tuniq tower, but wanted to check other people's opinions before buying.

Keeping it simple taking cost, weight, cooling-prowess and noise into it:

1) Tuniq Tower.

2) AC7 Pro

3) Titan Amanda.

The Tuniq is heavy and expensive but no other hsf for 775 can compete. Loud at peak though and needs a large case.

The AC7 cools to a couple of degrees higher than the Tuniq (in most instances), is a lot lighter (within Intel's stress limit for it's mounting system infact) and is about a third of the price of the Tuniq.

The Amanda isn't a hsf per-se but rather a TEC (Thermo-Electric Cooler). It's very large, very expensive and extremely heavy. But it's wasted on any cpu that isn't oc'd in my opinion.

ok, thanks alex, I don't think I will go for the Titan Amanda, mainly because of the cost it will be, as it is a TEC cooler, it will be very expensive. But I think I may well be going for the tuniq. it should fit in the Antec 1200 shouldn't it? The only problem with that is that the tuniq doesn't look that great through the side of the case. But maybe if I get the LED version it won't be so bad.

if it doesn't fit in the 1200, it's likely to only fit in the space shuttle's cargo bay

the 1200 is _huge_

that's what I thought, and I think I've seen photos of people with it in their Antec 900. So should be fine.
