Default Best Value CPU & Mobo Combo

OK, I just browsed around some more and I found this:
E2140 Overclocked to 2.66GHz + Asrock 2CORE1333-2.66Gfor...£85!!! No fans or heatsinks inc, tho
It seems like a bargain, and I checked the specs, and it looks nice with integrated GFx as well

What do you guys think? Catch somewhere? Or a good deal?

I'm no expert but ASRock stuff is budget and won't overclock well.

I got the items individually from Aria .co.uk . One of the P5K series has onboard graphics but it hasn't the P35 chipset.

Thanks for the info Dave, so I guess that cheap deal was too good to be true, huh?

Mcbee, thanks for the heads up. I've decided to go for the P5B, as it's a mATX in case I want a small form factor case :). Turns out to be a few pence cheaper too...

I was thinking about going back to AMD again... I did a price comparison again and found that AMD gone back to being cheaper again... there's a £10 difference on Athlon 64 X2 4000+ and the E2180 2GHz, AMD being cheaper...

...Come to think of it, an E2180 isn't a C2Duo, is it?

Anyhow, it looks like buying seperate is the way forward...

It's precisely the same architecture as Conroe (core 2 duo), just with a smaller cache.

You'll only see a marginal (if at all) decrease in performance over an E6400.

Thanks alex...
So, err... AMD or Intel, folks? We should be getting close to a good combi now, shouldn't we?
I've whittled it down to wanting a 2.0 or 2.1 GHz CPU, but still unsure of the best value mobo to go with it, or even AMD vs Intel decision...
...bummer!
