| Which is better between the Pentium 4 3.00Ghz and the Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz?? I know that Intel Core 2 Duo has 2 working processors, would this beat the 1 processor of 3Ghz? These are for laptops. Thank you. |

| Even in single-threaded apps the core2 is faster due to it's more efficient architecture. It's also much less power hungry than a P4 which promotes battery life when on the move. Runs much cooler as well, not least because of the lower clock speed. Temps are always a concern in laptops.
