Dear friend, as you said, you vendor suggested you to do a BIOS upgrade. I understand that there might be a need to do that, but you should also understand that this effort can be a risky bussiness. Now the solution to this (diplomatically speaking) would be to make your vendor do the stuff. Just tell him, that you don't know how to do this and force him to do this for you. This way, it becomes his responsibility to take care of your motherboard. What say?

how do u remove/ rest/ change the password 2 bios settings??

there is a fairly easy reset worked for me once when i overclocked and it didnt go so well. I opened my pc and found a wee disk called the CMOS battery, pop it out for a few minutes then pop it back in, restart and your bios should be factory settings. BE CAREFUL. its about 1.5 cm across and is bright silver usually, cant miss it.

Isn't there a dip switch or jumper dedicated to resetting the BIOS? I'm sure there's something along these lines on all motherboards.

It should be in the manual anyway...
