| Hi guys, Recently i purchased these components: MB: Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus CPU: Core 2 Duo E6550 RAM:2x1GB DDR2 800MHz Geil Ultra Video: BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC2, 320MB GDDR3 HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, 400GB, SATA 300 MB/s The problem is that i don't have the knowhow regarding the bios settings (for all of my last computers the settings were on default). This time i want to make it right and i decided to ask you more things about tunning my computer. I want to be clear with you i do not want overclocking, but i want an stable and performant system. Now, my firts concern is to upgrade the bios of my mainboard because i see that it truly supports my CPU (FSB 1333) only in the last version of BIOS. Now i have this doubt: after the upgrade should i leave the FSB of the CPU at 1333 or at 800 ? I think that 800 would be the best since my memories are using the same FSB but i need you advice and experience in that. Second thing: i have seen that some people complained about Geil Ultra in association with my motherboard. How can i tune the latencies of my memory in order to gain the best performance and stability at the same time (maybe someone can explain to me what those timers are)? |

| Default is fine unless you are looking to overclock.
