Default Broken Battery Terminal

I just broke the Battery Terminal on my Mother Board. I have an old board that has a matching mount type and was wondering if any one had some tips before I start soildering it in this afternoon.

yes be careful! i have never hard of anybody doing anything like this so i cant offer any more advice than that

Use as narrower iron as you can. And as lower wattage as you can. You don't want to put too much heat into the board.

I also suggest putting a crocodile clip or something metal on to the connector temporarily to act as a heat sink to absorb some of the heat.

Be careful and it should be fine.
