Chipset drivers means motherboard chipset.

Get them from the manufacturers website.

I doubt it's chipset drivers, that's a brush off.

Stuttering can be caused by wrong hard drive DMA mode.

Open device manager and go-to IDE controllers, then ATA 0, on the advanced tab it should say what DMA mode the hard drive is on.

Vista also has some big issues with display drivers so try updating them.

Finally, how much RAM do you have?

You need to open ATA channel 0 then go-to the advanced tab.

i had a quick install of the drivers from my winfast cd, installed some drivers for the IDE controllers and network controllers etc, seems to have worked so far but i did have to disbale to driver for the network controller as it wouldnt work with vista, i had that trouble when i first installed the pc so not worried, everythings working so far and i havent had a stutter, maybe the driver has fixed it......... ill let ya know, cheers Dave!
