Default Clean Ram?

I've seen a lot of stuff about cleaning your ram up; are these good ideas to do? One for instance is Clean Ram @ <LINK REMOVED, QUESTIONABLE WEBSITE> If it is something worth doing any suggestions on the best freeware app? Thanks in advance, MPenney...

AFAIK these are only good if you have little RAM and need to use it wisely.

If you have a decent amount they are just not needed.

never heard of it myself, but if what Dave says is true, you'll be fine without it if you have 2GB (I always have been)

I see it a bit like software that speeds up your internet.

If your on 56k it may make a small improvement by changing how the data is downloaded, but it can't physically make it faster as the line denotes that and nothing else.

Same with RAM, software can make small visual improvements but your machine is only as fast as the spec allows.

It's a bit of a gimmick.

Also, that's a scam site. Use SiteAdvisor.

No company information or direct contact information is a dead give away of a bogus company.

I was using FreeRAM XP Pro on this PC I have that has very little memory. The hit in performance from running the FreeRAM program made the PC slower then not running it. You are probably better off without it.
