| does anyone know if there is a programmer then will allow me to control my cpu speed, really i would like to slow it down to consume less power on my laptop, while also letting it run cooler durining lessons, im hoping for something like AMD do. intel celeron 2.00Ghz xp pro 512 mb ram |

| You can do this by entering the BIOS pre Windows bootup.

| The BIOS is the program, no software can throttle your CPU clock as far as I know. |

| you can change the clock speed in windows power saving settings actually right click the battery |

| It's possible that the settings are not there in the BIOS on a branded machine, maybe they want that stuff locked. |
