Default Core 2 duo danger level temperature?

Just out of curiosity, what is the danger lever temperature for a Core 2 duo processor in a laptop? The hottest mine has went to is 72 degrees celsius, is this ok?

Default Core 2 duo danger level temperature?

If your cpu isn't reaching it's thermal shutdown threshold, then yeah, its fine.

But that's hot for a core2, even running in a laptop.

Fan blocked? Fan cleaned lately? Hot ambients? Gaming?

Default Core 2 duo danger level temperature?

My Desktop computer has crashed twice due to the CPU becoming to hot.

My Grandparents laptop we believed crashed due to the CPU becoming to hot.

But i would make sure that there is plenty and i mean plenty of ventilation around the box and also have 2 - 3 fans inside the box.

Default Core 2 duo danger level temperature?

I'd start getting concerned at 65, and shut down immediately at 70. I have mine running at load 55C, sometimes hitting 60.

well my Core 2 duo E6300 OC at 3GHz load is 40*C and idle is 27*C, so those temps sound outrageous to me.
