Core SpeedHi guys, I'm a little confused. In my rig I have the intel Q6600 at 2.4GHZ, however CPU-Z seems to be thinking the core speed is 1596mhz. Why is this? Surely it should be 2400? I have not fiddled with anything in the BIOS! Thanks for the enlightenment! Tom |

Core Speedit does that with me , under load it will me 2400 it must change the speed to save power

Core SpeedYeah, turn off "Speedstep" in your BIOS. Alternatively, use Intel's Thermal Analysis Tool to stress the cores then boot up your program, you'll see the proper figure.
