| Hi guys,

I'm a little confused. In my rig I have the intel Q6600 at 2.4GHZ, however CPU-Z seems to be thinking the core speed is 1596mhz. Why is this? Surely it should be 2400? I have not fiddled with anything in the BIOS! Thanks for the enlightenment! Tom My System: #

| Sounds like you need to set the BIOS correctly.

| Yeah, turn off "Speedstep" in your BIOS. Alternatively, use Intel's Thermal Analysis Tool to stress the cores then boot up your program, you'll see the proper figure.
