Default CPU Cooler help

I just bought a Zalman CNPS9700 LED cpu cooler ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118019 .) I wanted the Xigmatec that was recommended because they didn't carry any at Fry's. Is this one I got good (it was recommended by their tech specialist as one of the best they carried), or should I take ...

EDIT: I meant the thermalright CPU cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835109125&Tpk=Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme

Yeah, the guy I talked to knows my rig and case (Antek 900) and he said it would fit. He has the same cooler and case.

I got the Zalman becuase it's what they had. If you say it's good then I'm going to break my computer down and install it and my new hard drive. I didn't want to open the box until I got permission lol. Seriously, I trust the guy there, but I trust you folks more...........

Yep go for it.

I am 99% sure it will fit in your case.

Its a very good cooler, on par with the Thermalright and better than the Xigmatec

Let the tear down begin!! Good time to give everything a good clean as well.

A good cleaning and a better arrangement of the wires. Cry Havoc and loose the dogs of war. If I have problems with the HDD I'll be on to grovel for help. WHile I'm feeling frisky I'm nuke disking my daughters PC and putting some XP on so she can play her Barney games and watch movies lol. I got her a version of Vista (figured she may as well start to learn with it) but I want to build her something a little better for that (PentiumIV 3.8, 1 GB RAM what she has now), since I can't reuse the Vista on a newer computer. WHile I'm thinking about that.........

Would i be stupid to get another 790I, drop one of my 9800GX2's and half my RAM along with a nice CHEAP duo core? I figure that would give me plenty of room to upgrade as she gets older and needs more, or............. SHould I just get an inexpensive MoBo, Duo core, and cheap RAM? ANy duo would be better than the Pent4 and able to run Vista wouldn't it? Also I could probab ly get that all cheaper than the price of a 790 and with the new stuff coming out in December, The 790 could be obsolete before she is even ready to upgrade. Am i thinking too much or not enough?

I think you'd be better to build her a new cheap system. Have you seen Carbons thread he made the other day with the really good Antec Sonata deal in it?

I don't think its worth slimming your system down and buying another 790I.
