I got my new CPU, an AMD athlon(tm) 64 x2 dual core 6000+
I have downloaded a program which displays the heat of the CPU, and already from the start it's been around 50C. I was wondering if it's normal for the CPU to be this hot. when not ...

I was wondering if it's normal for the CPU to be this hot. when not over clocked, and not used to anything else than google'ing the net |

The maximum operating temperature of your chip is 55 - 63 C, looks like your running just under the line as a few people I have found have theirs running around the 40 C mark, check in your bios if the temperature read out is correct, checking in the bios will run the chip at full capacity and give you your max readout, if it is still high I would advise investing in a better cooling system as running a chip at it's near max temp reduces it's life span
