I recently bought a mother board Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H and it as a 8 pin power supply for the CPU. I bought a power supply with the case that only has a 4 pin CPU power supply... Will this cause problems? My AMD 64 X2 doesn't seem to be running fast at all. Power issue?

Well the issue about the 4pin on the 8pin aint really a issue actualy. A friend of mine got a Gigabyte P35 DQ6 with a intel core 2 duo processor and a bequit psu. He also got 4 pins on the 8pin connector on the MB. He just connected it and his system runs great. Apart from that. If the cpu runs slow it might be the issue that the PSU doesnt seems to correctly power the system due the lack of wattage.
Which coud probably be the problem since a standard psu in any case is mainly not that powerfull. You might send me the name of the case in your next reply. And Please also give me your full pc specifications. Since I need to know if your power supply coud feed your system in any way. |

Some power supplys have the CPU connector in two halfs that you have to put together then plug in. Have you checked that?
