My AMD Phenom fx3 8650 2.3ghz cpu came with a grey colored thermal compound on the entire square pad of the heatsink. I did not know it would come with the compound already on it. I ordered a small tube of Arctic Gold 5 should I have used it instead? or do they use a pretty good thermal compound on their heatsinks? Thanks!

It's alright by itself, keep the other stuff around just in case or for a biyearly reapply :)
